Talking to Ian, a close friend of John's, we learned the story of the thrush.

When Ian and John were together, they agreed.
When one of them dies, the other will give a living sign. And it should be a bird.
John died on 13 November 2004.
After John was cremated, Ian came home and saw a dead Blackbird on his doorstep.
He picked it up and carefully put it in a box.
When he went out into the garden he found another dead thrush again.
Drozdov was buried under the hawthorn around which was scattered the ashes of John.
And Ian definitely thinks it's a sign.
What they had agreed.

And we impressed about this story and in memory of John recorded 8 minute "Violet-thrush".
And then during the recording happened 3 more songs that somehow made under the impression of the COIL.

In memory of John Balance is dedicated.
